Responsibilities:
- Confidential North America was the only customer, where I was allocated. Hence the Key initiatives where I was engaged from 2006 till today are briefed below in the chronological order.
- IDMS to DB2 conversion was undertaken by the bank in which my role was development, unit testing and change management
- This was a project initiated by Financial Reporting Group which interfaces with Federal Reserve and IRS. This project was intended to capture foreigner’s assets along with the fixed income maturities to prevent any Tax evasion
- This project was aimed to report the liability balances to FDIC and hold the funds in case of an unfortunate event of Bank failure
- This was an initiative to prevent the manual losses which bank incurred while provisional credits to customers were incorrect. A real time solution to anticipate the real time provisional credits to be provided was developed and deployed
- This was a financial reconciliation effort undertaken to estimate the Expenses and Losses per Branch and its cost centre based on a postal code. This aided the bank to remit local taxes accurately
- Regulatory and compliance projects undertaken includes Reg-D, Reg-DD, Reg-Z, Reg-CC, Dodd Frank, FATCA etc.
- The Yearly Tax files to IRS and Customer. This is an extensive initiative as any errors would result in IRS penalties in the audits
- Bank is undergoing a technology transformation where legacy systems will be replaced by global products which could be deployed in any Geography. Extensively involved in this initiative, the Retirement portfolio was converted to new platform in 2013.Other conversions are on leeway
- Product Rationalization - Streamline the legacy product palette and optimize the sales with competent products in the market. Passbook sunset, CD Penalty unification, Remote Deposit capture are the key noted initiatives
