This project aimed at developing a data warehouse for Capitalone Financials. MDW is envisioned to be integrated with a bigger Data warehouse named Bank Data warehouse (BDW). The objective is to consolidate Mortgage related data from Originations to Recoveries on a loan in a centralized data warehouse from several source systems to improve reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering requirements to bring Collection and Recoveries data from several source systems into MDW. Mainly gather system agnostic data requirements from the business users.

The objective is to give ad-hoc reporting capabilities to Business Users. The BI environment creates the universe which will support the complex data requirements and then at Business Object (BOBJ) levels giving functional capabilities are the key objective. The Deposit End to End project is the effort which tries to bring consensus amongst different Line of Business (LOBs) which currently working and creating reports in silos. BI team has come up with the solutions were they will create the Presentation Layer (PL) on top of warehouse tables which will have all the required fields for reporting purpose. From the PL BI team will build the universe and the same universe will support many reports run through many LOBs.
