Project Description: The project is designed to ensure Dean Health Plan DHP is compliant with the Consumer Information Provision of the Affordable Care Act. The Consumer Information Provision requires the distribution of two documents, one titled the Summary of Benefits and Coverage SBC and the other a Uniform Glossary of common health insurance terms. In order to meet this provision we developed an automated solution and manual contingency plan. The automated solution involves using new software called Intelledox for document generation. This will allow DHP to pull plan information from Metavance into the SBC template using the terminology and guidelines specified in the regulations. This project touched a wide array of business areas and needs regular involvement from key stakeholders along the way to ensure DHP's success in achieving compliance.
