- Key member of team performing ETL process for Fairfax County in support of the Focus project. This is a legacy modernization project moving data from IDMS to SAP. Responsible for creating 50 conversion ETL programs from SAP functional specifications using both COBOL and SAS. Coordinating with County QA staff to ensure quality data translation into the new system.
- Performing level 3 Functional sign off on SAP Enhancements, Reports, Interfaces. This entails testing application functionality in the SAP ECC 6.0 system.
- As part of a small team, enhanced and maintained the Counties legacy PRISM system. This is a county-wide payroll, performance tracking, and benefits system written in ADS/O with an IDMS database.
- Design a subsystem for the purpose of tracking County CDL drivers. Teamed up with the counties principal architect to design the database and coordinated with end users on gathering requirements. Performed all coding and unit testing.
- Modified the entire PRISM application to use a new unique employee id number instead of employee SSN for security purposes. This entailed modifying 100 on-line programs and using incorporating global routines for translating the data.
- Teamed with two other developers on a very high visibility project to modernize the delivery of employee pay advice statements. Using several technologies Doc 1 Designer, VB Script, FTP, SAS Cobol with IDMS we developed an automated process to email pay advices to all County employee's within the payroll process.
