  • Support the daily processing for the Confidential loan system, Capital Access Financial System (CAFS), Office of Capital Access (OCA).
  • First task was to determine why a program was running over 24 hours.
  • Determined is was because of the way UNIX runs programs using the system clock. Re-wrote the program and it ran in under 4 hours.
  • Transferred this knowledge so more programs could benefit from the new code.
  • Documented and wrote system specifications to change all of the Oracle Database date formats from MDY to return CYMD. Over 150 programs needed to be updated. Over 25 were determined to be obsolete.
