Project Description

The Enterprise Scheduling ES System is designed to provide an automated and structured method of scheduling events at facility. Events may include procedures, new patient visits, standard visits, recheck appointments, therapy sessions, or other defined events in your facility that may require an appointment. The system supports events requiring multiple resources, with differing time requirements for each. The suggestion engine provides a user-defined number of appointment times to offer. Details such as scheduler's instructions and Managed Care compliance checks are displayed automatically, as needed.

Some of Enterprise Scheduling features are as follows:

  • Provides scheduling access to multiple locations
  • Schedules multiple resources simultaneously for an event
  • User-Specific Security Access Levels and Location/Department restrictions available
  • Easy to use calendar-like views available for all resources and patients
  • Managed Care compliance checks automatically performed upon scheduling event
  • Defined therapy conflicts and improper event order sequencing resolved upon scheduling the event
  • Enhanced patient check-in, including optional collection/update of payer information

Project Description

  • As soon as patient related information is saved into the databases of corresponding application, a real-time feed is passed to the database through HL7 Interface Engine. Data from different applications is made available to the interface engine, residing on web server as a listener, on pre-decided TCP/IP socket. HL7 packets corresponding to a particular transaction is received by the HL7 interface and converted to the format understandable by EHR interface engine.
  • The whole process of data communication can be split into three major components i.e.
  • Sending application, HL7 Interface Engine Receiving application
  • HL7 Interface engine acts as FTP server. The FTP server generally listens on port 21 for incoming connections from FTP clients. A connection on this port receives patient information/data enveloped in HL7 standards. The steps involved when HL7 engine receives any packets are:
  • Recognition Error Control
  • Parsing the HL7 Messages
  • Routing

Environment: ASP.NET 2.0, C , SQL Server 2005

Role / Responsibility

  • Modifying field values in a transaction based upon the values within transaction fields
  • Segment Validation
  • Validating field values
  • Data audition for integrity and save into data-source for further processing
