Business Analyst
Created scope and business requirements documentation for business owners, stakeholders, developers, and QA for both Allegiant's customer facing web airline booking engine as well as internal operations. Half of the projects I worked on at Allegiant were for what the customer sees on the web. Most current projects included Trip Flex dynamic pricing for customers to help them acquire better trip insurance cost savings while booking and Segment Based Presentation. Segment Based Presentation is for round trips to allow customers to adjust the number of checked and Carry-on bags per segment without having to contact the call center as currently bag choices are locked for both outbound and return trips. Played a key role in working with the database group to help them map out and convert to a new Merlot pilot and flight attendant scheduling system.

Create functional specification requirements for business owners, stakeholders and developers for Diamonds external website as well as internal users. Half of the projects I worked on at Diamond were for what the customer sees on the web. Specifications require the business analyst to creatively mock up the web pages as well as the user screens. Work closely with developers, QA testers and UAT user acceptance testers , project managers and senior staff in keeping developers on track to meet their expected deadlines and objectives and to prevent scope creep in current projects. This is all done under a waterfall environment for the successful completion of these efforts. This also included working with a number of reports for comparison to determine which ones were correct and which ones were giving inaccurate information as a number of them were accessing the same data but with inconsistent results for the same time periods.

Managed and developed various aspects of airline reservation software. Wrote business requirements and functional specifications for new development as well as ongoing enhancements. Biggest cost saving measure was to create a set of programs that the airlines used to upload thousands of names to a watchlist database that airlines use to determine if someone should be allowed on a plane. Before the programs were created, this task would take 4 people 3 to 4 days to complete. Afterwards, everything was finished in 30 minutes of computer time. Review other programmer's code for effectiveness and consistent coding practices. Currently cleared to work on the TSA's security programs that include the watchlist and Capps computer assisted passenger profile screening processing to restrict certain passengers from flying.
