ESI generates RDS Retiree Drug Subsidization Reconciliation cost reports on a monthly basis. RDS clients require these reports to meet Reconciliation deadlines, which are at the end of every month of the year. The report process initiates on the first of every month and the reports take as long as 25 days to generate. Often, Subsidy clients receive their final cost report just a day or two before the RDS deadline. Client expectations are such that they can request Reconciliation cost reports 'on demand' and not wait upwards of a month for the request just to initiate. The core objective of this SOD project is to reduce the RDS cost report timeline from 25 days to 2 days.
