This plant also manufactures salts for their Gatorade line of products. This concentrate plant was considered the benchmark for all other PepsiCo plants in the world.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and creation of new applications using the RPGII, RPGIII, RPGIV, RPGILE, CL, QUERY/400 and SQL400. This work also included work involving the system utilities SDA, PDM and RLU.
  • Responsibilities included all functions of Mapics XA, including user definition, Cross Application functions, assign user security, assign user menu options, PTF apply, data collection, and day to day issues with end users.
  • Responsible to perform major upgrade from Mapics XA R5 (Infor XA R5) to Mapics XA R7 (Infor XA R7). Include all aspects of a project this big and important for the business.   • Developed a custom application to automated material picking from warehouse locations using RF hand held devices (Intermec, LXE). This application gave the material picker to opportunity to deliver materials from the warehouse directly to a production room using all manufacturing orders for that particular production date. All transaction created using the RF hand held devices were recorded into Mapics XA to have full visibility where the inventory is and to which order was used.
  • Created interfaces to maintain material planning application (cAvail) with real Mapics XA data. Connectivity to the AS/400 and to the server running the cAvail applications was using scheduled FTP scripts. Also on demand option was available for the user.
  • Implement data feeds from Mapics XA accounting management to Oracle financials, Hyperion financials and Cognos. Automated process using FTP scripts.
  • Implement the Automated Export Systems which reports all our shipments going to the US in an electronic filing method host to host similar to EDI. This application was developed to collect data from our shipments system to send data using a proprietary data format from US Customs and Border Patrol which consists of a header record, detail lines, and trailer record. This process was similar to an ASN EDI transaction.
  • Implement the use of a tool called Spool Flex to convert AS400 spool file reports to electronic format like PDF and excel.
