  • Before the advent of Electronic Health Record EHR System all retail immunization related data resided in intercom IC which is the source for Enterprise Data Warehouse EDW . Customer Loyalty And Insight team used the patient ID to create a holistic picture of an immunization patient and perform insight analytics and look at the trending of immunization business as a whole in relation to pharmacy Rx and daily living DL spends.
  • The EHR system materialized two years ago with the intention of creating an integrated and scalable foundation for healthcare services. Immunization services become part of EHR system and a critical functionality of pharmacy claims began utilizing IC central services for cash, prescription and pharmacy benefits immunizations claims. But the medical claims were not supported by IC services before release SP3 . This bi-furcation of claims resulted in some the immunization claims residing in both IC and EHR and some immunization claims residing only in EHR Eventually, EHR became another source for EDW
  • IC and EHR are two disparate systems with each maintaining its own core information especially about patients registered through its front-end interface. This disparate structure created a need to re-define a holistic picture of the patient based on the EID and MID of that patient as patient Id is an attribute of a specific source. Hence, a need arose in EDW to create a single immunization view for a patient irrespective of how this patient's profile is stored in each of the sources. This project follows Agile methodology in development.

The application has about thousands of stored procedures in SYBASE which is interlinked with Dot net and UNIX platform having Auto sys jobs and crystal reports.

This project doesn't sync to replace all files with message due to technical burden that this would place on correspondents. Submission on the existing USD only file layout will continue to be available to support Correspondents who do not wish to change their current record layout.
  • Additionally, until such time as non-USD Fixed Income and Forex trade aways are supported in Netx, submission of those via spreadsheet will be supported. While the supported products for this project are listed above, there is a strong possibility that Pershing Correspondent will want to send other products on a trade file in future. The development works for this project allow the possibility to support additional record types within the Universal Trade Feed Layout. Examples of these record types are mutual funds, options, Forex trading.
