The Affordable Care Act ACA creates new competitive private health insurance markets - called Health Insurance Marketplaces that provide millions of Americans and small businesses access to affordable coverage through a marketplace.
Role: As a tester on the team my responsibilities were to coordinate with the U.S. states regarding testing of the different functionalities of the Marketplace UI with the appropriate state stakeholder and reporting the results to CMS. My activities included composing test cases, verifying data being transferred, and defect triaging for backend and UI testing.

HITECH NLR

HITECH Act was put in place to improve the nation's health care through the adoption of Electronic Health Records EHR and promotion of the meaningful use via incentive payments. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS expects that under Medicare and Medicaid meaningful users of EHR would demonstrate each of the following: meaningful use of a certified EHR, the electronic exchange of health information to improve the quality of health care, and reporting on clinical quality and other measures using certified EHR technology.

Role:

As Business Analyst intern my responsibilities included attending sessions, Weekly Status Meetings with outside partners. Capturing notes in meetings to keep all information exchanged as documentation and Comparing Mockups and System design documents with current system upgrades for composing Test cases. Composing test cases, verifying backend logs and data table storage.
