Senior Programmer/Analyst, Corporate IT
Responsibilities:
- Designed and developed an ASP.NET Proof of Claim liability tracking system. The application was written in C# using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. With Microsoft Visio for Enterprise Architects, I designed the middle tier using UML and generated the structural code. Also assisted in the network platform setup, including the server build and IIS 5.0 setup.
- Developed an ASP.NET/C# application to automate the process of loading workers comp class codes into a SQL Server database. Class codes are received by Legion employees on a monthly basis on a CD in a fixed field length text file format. The user opens my web page, selects the file from the CD and clicks the Update' button.
- Developed a robust VB6 client/server application for field auditors. This replaced an Access97 application. When connected to Legion's LAN, users upload/download data to a network database. Reconstructed the network database from a SQL Server 7.0 database with no referential integrity, to a normalized, object-oriented SQL Server 2000 database. All of this dramatically reduced the number of user errors and IT support required to maintain the application.
- Redeployed another existing Access97/Citrix internal application as an ASP application. The application used several COM objects, which I wrote in VB6. Also developed a series of administrative screens in ASP to allow users to maintain the application.
