• Global Foundation Services now Cloud Infrastructure and Operations provides data and network infrastructure for cloud offerings such as Office 365, Bing, and Hotmail.
• Responsible for the ETL process of the asset disposal team, inheriting a manual process using Excel for data cleanup and the import/export wizard, designed from scratch and operated an SSIS-based ETL process. This new system added a staging database and archives, automated data cleanup via SQL, improving productivity and setting the groundwork for formal automation.
• Scripted a new disposal transaction processing and logging table to replace a manual process based in Excel and Intranet sites. The prior process had six manual review steps and lived in Excel and Internet Explorer. The new process flags some assets as acceptable for immediate status update, others as requiring manual review, and yet others as data quality errors. One worker's productivity has more than doubled as a result.
• Executed the daily and monthly cost model process, ensuring data quality and completion in a step by step operation, having produced several data quality scripts and a personal SSAS cube to speed up the process and accuracy of producing monthly commentary.
