Broke down the suppliers cost into component costs, gathered cost visibility and asked the suppliers to fill out this info in the RFIs. This information was useful in shortlisting the suppliers.
  • After: Cost saving of more than 35 in the category was observed.

Seven Steps of sourcing in Social Analytics

  • Suppliers were providing social analytics services to PepsiCo. They were collecting data and providing analysis from social networking websites such as facebook, linkedin, twitter etc about the image of PepsiCo in social media.
