Preferred Drug List ACCESS Database

  • Created an ACCESS database to provide Pharmacy Rebate opportunities. This database extracts data from two DB2 databases and creates Excel and PowerPoint files for each Client ID from a list of Clients. The end result is with a click of a button, this database builds 500 Excel files, 500 PowerPoint files and one Index file with hyperlinks to the Excel / PowerPoint files. This process runs on a laptop in 2 hours for 250 Client ID's. There are two Excel templates and two PowerPoint templates for the output of 'Value Preferred Drug List' and 'Rebate Model' data.
  • Created a GUI form to allow User to select one or more Client ID's to run on a monthly basis against Claim data.

Repricing / Network Disruption / Formulary ACCESS Database

Assisted a team member with automation for query execution of multiple query groups. Created the VBA code to automate query execution with capturing run time for each query and displaying the query being executed. Worked to reduce query run times and streamline process. Had to review and comprehend the existing process within a tight timeframe. VBA code created is reusable in any ACCESS database that needs to automatically execute queries.

FMG Chart ACCESS Database

  • Took over responsibility for this existing ACCESS database with many issues.
  • Added functionality to this database to automatically produce over 200 EXCEL Charts for many customers.
  • Also added process to automatically generate a single WORD document for all chart images. The WORD document was created to show chart images in a certain sort order.
  • For one process, reduced VBA coding from 60 pages to under 10 pages with additional functionality. Redesigned to streamline processes.

Tool Proposal ACCESS Database

Enhanced an existing ACCESS database to generated Tool Proposal pages output as PDF documents from a VBA module. Process created 700 pages in 6 minutes. Assisted in getting the tool pages printed as a book. Made form changes for new fields. Created EXCEL VBA code to update hyperlinks.

Action Item ACCESS Database

Developed ACCESS database to track and manage Action Items such as Server Requests, Customer requests. Built a Dashboard form to show open Action Items assigned to employee and unassigned Actions Items. When a new Action Item is created, the database creates an email for User to send to Requester. Referral Account Balancing System ACCESS Database

  • Developed ACCESS database to balance and book to General Ledger all transactions from a
  • Mainframe Application. This involved importing nine transaction files, grouping transaction
  • types by date and then applying GL Accounts. Created forms to perform balancing, summing dollars to a transaction/account level for an Accounting Summary, and then summing to an Account level for booking to the General Ledger. There are approximately 40,000 transaction records a month that are processed by this database.

Joint Underwriting Review ACCESS Database

Developed ACCESS database to store audit information produce an Audit Form using WORD.

Request Form ACCESS Database

  • Developed ACCESS database to track and manage Requests for Policy information. Developed
  • an import process read email from a generic mailbox. All email WORD attachments are opened
  • to check for the Request WORD form. The form information is saved in the database and a control number is assigned and stored on the Request form. All attachments saved to a shared drive. Database allows visibility for reading / printing of all attachments. Requests are put into a queue and staff requests next available task. Emails can have 0 to many Request forms, Request forms can generate 1 to many tasks, a task can be assigned to 1 to many Units/Sub Units.

F119 Engine Repair Conference Slide Automation ACCESS Database

  • Developed process to generate slides for bi-annual conference to brief Customer on status of 350 repairs.
  • This process uses Microsoft Automation to interface with WORD and EXCEL to generate the presentations.
  • Five databases are accessed to mine data two ORACLE and three ACCESS databases.
  • The run for the Oct-09 Conference resulted in 1500 slide pages that ran in under two hours.
  • Created three methods for generating slides: a. for a single repair, b. all repairs for a Presenter c. all repairs

Rewrote application to eliminate redundant coding, queries and reports. Reduced several VBA programs from thirty pages of code to six pages of code. Rewrote reports and reduced the number of reports from twenty to five.

Process Certification ACCESS Database

  • Brought in to take over development and deployment of the Process Certification Database. Database mission was to provide a means for twenty Pratt Whitney locations to enter their progress on the Process Certification task.
  • This database is an ACCESS / Visual Basic application that utilizes treeview and listview controls, similar functions to Windows Explorer, to manage data.
  • For the first version deployed, added two ACCESS reports, rewrote backend database link logic, drafted training documentation, and drafted installation documentation.
  • For the second version deployed, developed forms and modules to support reporting, enhanced version 1.1 logic to support functionality for data changes and deletions, and logic for drag / drop functionality.
  • Also built logic to combine data from all twenty locations and produce reports.
