- Situation: I was the consulting technology leader for service delivery systems at Confidential and was tasked to provide a vendor agnostic technology consult to major network services companies (ALU, Ericsson, Nokia).
- Action: My role was to participate but not advocate with each network system integrator. While each vendor had different nuances most required me to: Lead technology overviews of 100's of integrated systems, participate in Joint Analysis Sessions, provide feedback on feasibility of strategy, and validation of execution plans.
- Results: Ericsson was s the first strategic outsourcing of a Tier One NOC valued at 7.7B dollars impacting 1300 IT systems, and 4500 resources.
- Situation: Trinidad and Tobago Telephone (TSTT) desired to deliver a triple play television, data, and phone solution to its subscribers and enlisted IBM to create the solution.
- Action: My responsibilities were to define the service fulfillment strategy inclusive of: Order Entry, end-to-end orchestration of facilities management, inventory, subscriber management, and service activation for all network resources required for the TSTT service. I conducted vendor assessment, technology evaluations, defined down selection criteria, and systems integration plan.
- Results: TSTT successfully deploy triple play service, and this was the first use of IBM WebSphere TOCP (Telecom Operations Content Pack) which modeled eTOM entities.
- Situation: A Tier One service provider required a new method of collecting data (Events, CDR's, IPDR's, PCMD) from wireless/wireline network devices. The existing solution was creating gaps in data collection causing unreliable analytics.
- Action: Using a LCE (Low Code Environment) method of development a data mediation platform was designed to persist all collection files (providing collection accuracy). Which used workflows to design Extract Transform Load (ETL) that could be modified at runtime. to 5 different data consumers.
- Situation: Consolidation of software vertical solutions required the application of Telecom domain solutions to peer business domains including: Energy, Gaming, Finance, healthcare and retail.
