  • Responsible for the analysis, design, development and implementation of IBM mainframe components in support of the Store Project Tool (an in-house developed application for tracking sales and delivery of custom home interior (kitchens and bathrooms) and exterior (roofing, gutters, etc.) projects. These components included extracts to feed weekly reporting and employee compensation as well as interfaces to external service vendors to synchronize employee and location information.

  • Responsible for the analysis, design, development and implementation of enhancements to the existing Confidential ’s Financial Applications; primarily Accounts Payable. Initially in support of the installation of PeopleSoft AP 8.4 and later, in support of the use of PeopleSoft 8.9 for expansion into international markets. The Confidential ’s financial systems are a series of “home-grown” and purchased applications that receive invoice information from a number of manual and automated processes. My role in these changes was to identify the points in the existing batch processes where these invoices could be intercepted and interfaced to PeopleSoft applications.

  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of the Duke FMIS FIA (Financial Management Information Systems File Interface Architecture). The FIA consists of Mainframe programs that use DB2 to validate chartfield and data that is being input to PeopleSoft. The File Interface Architecture provides a controlled method for feeding financial applications information (AP, AR, GL, budget data, etc.) from existing applications to PeopleSoft Financial applications. The source of this data can be files prepared by Mainframe and Workstation applications and from Excel Spreadsheets.
  • In addition to the programs and processes that reformat, validate and track application data coming through the FIA, I have developed callable programs and DB2 Stored procedures that may be used by other applications, Mainframe batch and CICS as well as Workstation applications, to validate chartfield information prior to submitting to PeopleSoft.
