Technology Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- The Eserve program for Customer Care was to migrate and upgrade their application to the strategic data centers with the latest software enhancement. Web Servers resided in the DMZ Zone, Application Servers resided in the Secure Zone and Database Servers in the ESF zone. Worked with Risk Management and Firewall engineer to grant network access for Servers in the DMZ, Secure and ESF zones. Worked on SQL database migration. I managed over 50 internal and external resources for both projects. Implemented the 2010 Compliance project to upgrade and move the Eserve application from the old to a strategic data centers at Confidential which has a saving in excess of $2.8 MM annually. Worked with Application developer to convert application to .net 4 using SDLC workflow. Worked with various vendors (HP, Cisco, Barracuda, Mainframe, Microsoft and Application).
- The Swiftnet Tech Refresh program involved the UK and US Mainframe OS upgrade. Worked with AD team to QA testing the Swiftnet message type (MT0xx thru MT9xx, ISO 15022 MT, ISO 20022 MX), Connection Type and RMA. SWIFT messages, developed by SWIFT Standards, consist of five blocks of data including three headers, message content, and a trailer. Message types are crucial to identifying content. All SWIFT messages include the literal "MT" (Message Type). This is followed by a 3-digit number that denotes the message category, group and type. SWIFT transports financial messages in a highly secure way but does not hold accounts for its members and does not perform any form of clearing or settlement. SWIFT provides a centralized store-and-forward mechanism, with some transaction management. For bank A to send a message to bank B with a copy or authorization with institution C, it formats the message according to standard and securely sends it to SWIFT. SWIFT guarantees its secure and reliable delivery to B after the appropriate action by C. SWIFT guarantees are based primarily on high redundancy of hardware, software, and people. The entire SWIFT Network migrated its infrastructure to a new protocol called SWIFT Phase 2. The main difference between Phase 2 and the former arrangement is that Phase 2 requires banks connecting to the network to use a Relationship Management Application (RMA) instead of the former Bilateral key exchange (BKE) system. The SWIFT secure messaging network is run from two redundant data centers, one in the United States and one in the Netherlands. These centers share information in near real-time. In case of a failure in one of the data centers, the other is able to handle the traffic of the complete network. SWIFTNet Link (SNL) software which is installed on the SWIFT customer's site and opens a connection to SWIFTNet. Other applications can only communicate with SWIFTNet through the SNL. Alliance Gateway (SAG) software with interfaces (e.g., RAHA = Remote Access Host Adapter), allowing other software products to use the SNL to connect to SWIFTNet. Performed and supported the Chase Swiftnet DR test between the US and UK.
- Use both WBS and EVM for project management. Use Sharepoint for project documentation. Use MS Project and Project Servers for project plan. Both project completed on time and on budget.
