• DTC Segregation project-Provided DB with a proposed business straight through processing solution which addresses current pain points, operational risk, transactional cost overages, a fragmented operational model and resource overages due to a very manually intensive dual back-office model. Conducted meetings with business users, line managers and key stakeholders. • Trades count reconciliation-Using SQL Developer, built a prototype to reconcile billing data from BPSA with the Broadridge bill. Validated six months trade counts using this tool.
• Conducted an in-depth review of the existing operational model for equities. Implemented proposals resulted in per trade cost savings totaling a multi-million dollar annual save. The report highlighted other cost saving areas to be explored, which could potentially reduce operational costs even further.

• Winfits-MBSE integration & testing, Winfits to ICI-Impact testing.
• Responsible for the system migration from Calypso (Societe Generale’s existing Fixed Income back-office platform) to Broadridge’s ICI Impact/BPS platform. Ownership of migration of trade data, pricing data, establishing proper FIFO stack for P&L, pricing of HTM and AFS positions. Data integrity, regression testing and migration tooling, preparing migration reports for accounting signoff and post implementation support. This migration was completed with zero defects in all these areas
• Responsible for securing the Phase2 go-live date by bring back on track the DSTS (Repo front-end) to ICI Impact stream-Reconfigured Tibco BW business rules and tested all repo handling including Multi-collateral deals, collateral substitution (one-to-many, many-to-one), re-rates, re-pricing, close-outs, tri-party etc.
• Reviewed existing business functions, interviewed business users and elicitated requirements for Risk/Compliance departments. Reports generated included Markup/Markdown, Wash Trades and Parking, Front running and Suitability reports. Reports for Product Control included Cost of Carry, Balance sheet reporting directly supporting the repo desk
• Conducted an in-depth research to identify the root cause of 20,000 GL exceptions in the SGAS as clearer project. Identified the root-cause working with Broadridge SMEs and then built an automated GL booking tool to post the missing journals & reverse the incorrect entries as part of the ring-fencing effort.

 Solutions Architect 

• Responsible for the front office migration of positions and trades of the rates desk from BATS (RBC’s proprietary front end) to Bloomberg TOMS. Created automated test harness for Arts Anvil repo system
• Architected the straight through processing of trades for retail business from Bloomberg to ICI Impact bypassing FIFE (Broadridge trade router) thus optimizing trade routing logic and reduced time to market of software changes by 6 months
• Directly responsible for architecture design and implementation of trade capture of Correspondent (Incapital) both outright and repo finance trades. Test lead on the Winfits to Impact migration via MBSE. All initiatives were delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Worked with the GAT mortgage-trading desk to build a parallel processing entity, which replicated trade data, pricing, rates and factors. This enabled the isolation of P&L calculations independent of operations and enabled appropriate accounting treatment for this business line
• Key team lead in the multi-year One Broker dealer project, responsible for the UAT/QA testing of specific enhancements/fixes and test automated across multiple releases

Technical Consultant, impact 

• Worked on the JP Morgan Conversion project, with a focus on NSCC testing for Munis and Corps. Performed detailed testing involving Trade capture via trade upload. Performed UAT testing with the client during DTC testing. Worked on VAR (Variable Rate), Download of Settlement Instructions (DDA) and BDAS Wire instruction expansion, Customer confirms, Bloomberg trade capture, Freddie Mac Factor Upload, Customer upload, Trade Purge, External Price upload, SBA Factor feed, GSCC testing, TBAs and TBA Allocations, End of Day Batch cycle etc.
• Team Lead the Regression Project and was responsible for Test Analysis & Planning, in particular the Test Automation plan.

Consultant/Software Development, Store Systems 

• Intranet web-based scheduling application on AS/400 used to schedule Employees at each location throughout country. System architecture uses MVC paradigm and built, based on Request handler structure using Servlets. Database access architecture uses in-house developed Data Access components independent of Application Server and can be switched between two application servers, based on http server configuration. Reporting functionality incorporates XML with XSL formatting.

Consultant/Software Development

• Prototyped 2-tier process to capture treasury deals separating View/Controller from model. 2-tier approach provides different UI/Controllers to re-use the same model to book treasury deals in front-office system.
• Analyzed, designed and developed automated email reporting system interfacing traditional AS/400 programs in RPG IV with Java using data queues. Development effectively combined new technology with legacy development.
