The project involved the development of system aimed at improving the analytical approaches for pricing, trading, hedging, risk management and performance assessment of fixed income instruments through simulations and parametric models, its specially created for BofA named as IRP ( Interest rate Products ) and Advantage ( newer version of IRP ) . The system monitored and computed duration, convexity, swap, credit and option adjusted spread of fixed income securities to guide dealers on relative value trading and portfolio allocation. The system offered scenario analysis that permitted traders and trading management to observe the effect of theoretical trades/yield curve shifts on their portfolios.The system was developed using C++ object-oriented programming methodologies within a fully distributed client / server environment.
