MAXIMUS provides program management and operations services to state and local governments, as well as the federal government. In operating these programs on behalf of government, MAXIMUS plays a critical role in providing services that directly help individuals and families improve their lives.
As a Business Analyst at MAXIMUS, I worked primarily on four major projects:
Healthy Families Program provides low cost insurance for underprivileged children and teens. It provides health, dental and vision coverage to children who do not have insurance and do not qualify for free Medi-Cal.
As a Business Analyst on this project, my main role was to implement enhancements to the HFP website. Major enhancements included developing a web-based user interface on the HFP website and enabling server-side processing and routing of each order to HF Mail Operations team.
Access for Infants & Mothers (AIM) is California State’s low-cost health insurance program for mid-income pregnant women.
As a Business Analyst, I was tasked with implementing enhancements to the AIM website. The major enhancement was to add new tabs to the existing AIM website. These new tabs contained all downloadable items (Forms, Letter, Employer Statement and Affidavit of Income) for users. Also, other enhancements included re-organization of some tabs, and adding new content to some of the existing tabs on AIM website. All enhancements were made to both English and Spanish versions of AIM website.

Federal Income Guidelines (FIG) 2009 Project:
Every year MAXIMUS receives new Federal Income Guidelines (FIGs) for Healthy Family Program (HFP) and Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM) program. FIGs provide information on income levels that families must meet to qualify for HFP.
For FIG 2009 project, I was involved in changes needed to the EE & CAA (Enrollment Entities & Certified Application Assistants) tab of HFP & AIM and website to accommodate new FIGs for 2009. In addition, modifications were made to FIG tables (in MAXe2 and Health-e-App) for both the HFP & AIM Programs in the Production System. Also, modifications were made to the CAA web-based training site, and VIPP development for the errata sheets for the HFP and AIM handbooks.
    Online Eligibility Verification System (OEVS)
The Online Eligibility Verification System (OEVS) is a Healthy Families Intranet website for external partnership entities (such as Health, Dental and Vision Plans) contracted by Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB) to support Health Families (HFP) and Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM) program. OEVS allows these entities to view and compare information on their linked Healthy Families member(s) to the information found on the Healthy Families System.
I was involved in Analysis, Design, Testing and Implementation for development of OEVS intranet website.
