DOCSIS Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Required understanding the DOCSIS test requirements of the OCAP software, the Dream Gallery application software and the audio/video requirements, perform the required tests and update the procedures as required for OCAP/Dream Gallery, analyze all failures & write the defect reports, present the results, and enter the results into the Test Central 4.0 data repository.
  • Manually tested OCAP (open cable application platform) using both the HPNX system which is basically a Head-End simulator (HPNX card with HPNX software run locally) for setting up DSG properties and messaging (mostly SCTE 65 messages) together with the standard method of DSG configuration management which consisted of my own plant/network to configure and edit the CMTS DSG configuration as needed for the required test cases.
