Development QA Test Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Designed and built a large scale virtualized network environment consisting of eight Confidential data center servers, Confidential 5k 10Gig switching architecture, VMware ESXi VShpere 4 and Nexsan SATA Beast storage.
- Configured Confidential 5k switches per integration requirements with the Confidential servers and managed the environment with the VMware VCenter Server. This provided the ability to quickly deploy a wide variety of virtual machines for testing, thus reducing capital expenditures.
- Developed tests and executed large scale customer scenario system testing ( Confidential ) of Confidential Unified Applications such as Unity Connection, MeetingPlace 7.x, Web, and Audio including interoperability of CUCM versions 6-8.x, validating functionality in a distributed simulated customer environment containing multiple branch offices.
- Performed Confidential Product Security baseline and vulnerability testing against all components in the MeetingPlace architecture. A few elements of Baseline were credential strength, storage and recovery. The vulnerability tests were a suite of automated tests intended to validate platform survivability in the event of a DOS (Denial of Service) attack.
- Built numerous large scale distributed test networks to accomplish voice and video end point testing which required scaleable designs and, configuring of numerous types of Confidential voice gateway products. This included the 2600, 3600, 3700 stand alone gateway’s, Catalyst 4-6k, 6500 Communication Media Module T1/E1/FXS, 6608, and 6624.
- Developed tests and executed interoperability and performance load tests for Confidential, T1/E1 digital signaling, FXS, FXO analog interfaces utilizing VOIP protocols H.323, MGCP, and SIP with various Codec’s using CUCM software and hardware MTP transcoding.
- Developed tests and executed VOIP compatibility tests involving the Catalyst 6500 Supervisors 1/2/720, Trunking protocols (ISL, 802.1q), EtherChannel, Switch fabric MDL redundancy, MSFC 1&2, High Availability, Hot standby routing protocol ( Confidential ), and Fax Protocols.
- Provided technical input to the documentation team and Technical Assistance Center to insure product readiness for first shipment.
