Responsibilities:

Manage and Lead the Confidential responsible for processing field return RMA products. Complex DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 CCAP Chassis based modules that are returned from the field require analysis, debug, repair and test. The modules consist of state of the art Processors, FPGA’s, Memory, Clocks, Ethernet Switches, DUC’s, DAC’s, A/D’s, RF Switches, RF Amplifiers, and DC/DC converters, and require knowledge of Digital, Analog, RF, and Power Circuitry debug techniques to be able to fault isolate down to the component level using complex SW, Diagnostic tools, and HW test and Measurement equipment. “Hands-On” individual contributor and manager of (9) engineers and technicians and the Laboratory used for Failure Analysis and RMA processing. DOCSIS Lead Engineer

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects related to DOCSIS cable modem and CMTS configuration for test and support of the Confidential products with DOCSIS cable modem backhaul. Define, design, implement, and test low cost outdoor CMAP products used by major MSO’s. These products include power over cable Bias-T circuits, PS design, CM design, 802.11 wireless access points, and antennas. Manage internal, and external, and ODM resources, for the development, test, and manufacture of these advanced, complex, reliable products. Review CM schematic, layout, BOM, and DVT test results from a CM ODM and provide inputs. Work with Cable Labs to obtain CM module certification (involved with over 10 successful CM certifications). Validate the CM design in the Ruckus WiFi products. Responsible for the pre-test and onsite evaluation of Ruckus products by large cable company physical and environmental test engineers. Main interface to the customer, and responsible for all aspects of the physical, environmental, and regulatory testing, of the new Ruckus cable products.

Defined the DOCSIS CMTS manufacturing test strategy and test process. Designed the automated test systems for board and system level testing. Directed assembly and integrated the test systems. Delivered (18) manufacturing testers to Sanmina, Solectron, and Celestica. The testers were used by the Contract Manufacturers (CM's) to test the DOCSIS CMTS cable products before shipment to customers. Trained the CM's personnel on tester operation and product debug.
