Responsibilities:

  • Devised new PDF path naming conventions that reduced the length of path names and significantly decreased PDF processing time by STAPS. Recruited a team of analysts to reviewing PDF path names in the GIS shared folder and correct them as necessary.
  • Teamed up with a fellow analyst to create maps and related 508 documents of the largest Limited English Proficiency (LEP) populations in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. These deliverables were prominently featured in a White House presentation.
  • Created eight education level maps (elementary, middle and high school), 20 individual school maps and 22 related student data tables for the City of Confidential, MS. These deliverables were a part of DOJ attorneys’ court case against the city.

  • Designed Excel tables of shifting racial makeup of elementary students that influenced Confidential, LA school zone boundaries. Created current and proposed zone maps that were vital to Education Section attorneys determining if racial segregation caused these zone changes.
  • Created Disability Rights maps of Milwaukee, WI facilities that could require disability access. These maps were valuable to Housing section attorneys in identifying facilities that could be guilty of discrimination by disability and race.

  • Designed DOJ internal plan of Confidential voting districts for the Voting Rights Section. Converted the existing voting district plan into an illustrative plan that was the basis for new voting districts.
  • Created a set of maps of Kansas City, MO facilities requiring disability access. Disability Rights attorneys used the maps to successfully argue that city facilities violated disability access laws.

  • Recognized by Mayor Confidential Confidential, DC for designing maps that safely and efficiently regulated pedestrian and vehicular traffic during the 2009 Presidential Inauguration.
