Software QA Tester
Responsibilities:
- Tested a fairly large configurable application for the Confidential and Regulatory Affairs for the Confidential .
- Testing involved a large number of pages for the registration of corporate entities in the Confidential and consisted of manual, black - box testing of component functionality, user interfaces, back office configurations, and online corporate registrations and reports.
- Written requirements were initially “sketchy” and/or non-existent, so did quite a bit of collaboration with development, the architect and program manager to ferret these out.
- Used TFS in Visual Studio 2010 for creating user stories (from requirements), tasks, test cases, writing and tracking defects.
- Simple database queries using SQL 2008 were used to verify the correctness of data written to it.
- Participated in weekly scrums.
- Provided to Project Management defect status reports weekly.

Responsibilities:
- Tested a survey web application that required the creation and updating of 11 different forms.
- For these forms, testing was based off of general and specific Process Instructions that were the requirements for the application.
- Usability, functional, content testing, field range validation, negative scenarios, and ease of navigation were some of the testing done.
- Simple database queries using SQL 2005 were used to verify the correctness of data written to it.
- Testing also involved the exporting of data from the database to an Excel spreadsheet for distribution to Confidential ’s client.
- Used the tool Bugzilla for defect tracking.

Responsibilities:
- Continued as a temporary and then full-time employee with Confidential testing mobile content solutions for wireless phones.
- Tested Portal software on wireless phones for various carriers whereby users had access to such information as News, Theatres, Stock Markets, Social Networks, etc.
- Wrote and executed functional test strategy plans, test scenarios and test scripts for assigned functional areas of the storefronts.
- Participated in UX design and test plan reviews.
