PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Confidential
QA Analyst/Implementation Team
Responsibilities:
- In addition to performing manual testing and validation of our monthly, then quarterly releases their flagship software iServe, that was built on the powerful Salesforce platform,my other focus was supporting the software for the thousands of users employed by Confidential, and more importantly training the hundreds of high level State Directors, Regional Directors and their staff to use iServe.
- We frequently travelled around the country to visit the Group Homes and Day Centers to conduct our 4 hour trainings, plus visit the people who are benefiting from our services.
- Essentially I was still doing the job of a QA engineer in an Agile environment, but with added new responsibilities, including Lead Tester for the Mobile time tracking application for Windows, Android and iOS.

QA Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Working in a strictly Agile environment and with multiple development teams to help test a redesign and major CSS /UI upgrade of their popular application to help students understand and manage educational loan debts. Additonally I was tasked with studying and documenting the existing application to offer mysuggestions and expertice for UI issues. Attending daily standups, Sprint and Planning meetings to scope out work loads for upcoming releases.
- ASA wants to improve and increase the level of automation to our department. Currently the level of coverage was far below expectations. I started consulting with the Automation teams to determine what additional types of testing could be written in Selenium, but a sudden company wide downsizing led to my contract being withdrawn along with most of the team.
- Additionally, I was transferred into the Enterprise Team to assist with their upgrade initiative. This position involves writing and testing large amounts of cleanup SQL scripts to ensure the legacy software is correctly updating student loan information and balances. While most scripts were simple in nature, they had to access dozens of tables and be formatted correctly to return the desired data. Some inner and outer joins were also required..

QA Lead
Responsibilities:
- In an effort to institute a more formal QA process, I oversaw the scheduling and assignments for a small group of experienced QA analysts, while additionally performing functional and regression testing for Confidential, the publishers of the leading web based progressive and organizing solution.
- The development teams are split into 4 areas of functionality so I attended all daily standups, Retros, planning meetings to understand what features were ready to go into testing and assign them to my team members. Additionally I ran a daily QA standup attended by all Project Managers and a twice weekly Release meeting. This product was based on .Net framework, with C#, javascript and Angular components.
- Later in the year, after a reorganization, my position was changed to a dedicated QA resource for one of the 4 teams.Attended planning meetings with the developers, charged with creating in depth Test plans, working with development to ensure the Test plans were updated to reflect changing functionality, and finally running all tests as each piece of functionality was completed in this Agile environment.
- At the end of 2013 Confidential put all the QA engineers into Selenium training to begin adding some level of automation testing to mirror the efforts of our sister QA team in Washington, DC. Project planning and tracking moved from TFS to Jira.
- Extensive rework of the overall look and feel of the product. Working with the UI team I scoped out the testing requirements, assigned testing to my team, and worked with them to perform hundreds of hours of testing. This also entailed careful examination of HTML and CSS changes to ensure every text field, table and button was correctly positioned per specifications.
- Lead tester for the MiniVAN iOS and Android mobile product update, plus the redesign of the Confidential mobile application. Working with a third party developer we thoroughly tested the front end, and even with changing feature requests, we delivered an excellent product to the client on schedule. Additionally data was checked on the back side to ensure it was correct and passing correct parameters. (SQLite)
