Performance Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • During testing, requests were executed at a frequency corresponding to the testing profile (no more than 5% of errors occurred), and regulations.
  • Verified that CPU utilization at the main nodes of the system (Weblogic, Oracle) did not exceed 80% during any 10-minute interval during the test.
  • Performed spike testing with JMeter using synch timer to block and release threads, solved server overloading issues by configuring Jmeter timers.
  • Used JMeter’s different listeners to capture and analyse the test results in both tabular and graphical format. Fetched dynamic data from preceding requests and passed them to the subsequent requests as parameters, i.e session variables from the response of the request, changed thread allowance in Thread Group, configured optimal resource management using non-GUI mode, fewer Listeners, samplers and assertions, used Listeners for aggregate report and graph results
  • Verified that utilization of RAM was stable throughout the test, i.e. there was no steady increase in memory consumption or memory leaks, that utilization of RAM did not exceed 90% during the test and if there was no active page exchange, i.e. no paging, typical for cases of shortage of RAM.
  • Verified the response time of the disks (service time) did not exceed 15 ms during 90% of the test time, utilization of the network (kb / s) did not exceed 80% of the maximum throughput during 90% of the test time.

Environment: Agile, Java, Weblogic, Oracle 11g, AppDynamics, JMeter, Loadrunner 12.5, JIRA, HPUX11i, Bamboo, BitBucket, Trello.
