  • Worked on a Address Clean-up project of teh Plant Inventory System.
  • Had several meetings with business partners(from several states) where we discussed teh business problem and possible solutions.
  • me wrote a formal requirement/design document. It was determined teh requirement was to standardize and clean up subscriber address information in 3 separate applications. We determined teh solution was to extract data from all three systems, determine address mismatches and do a manual clean up of teh data and create one file of teh correct address information.
  • Each application would be responsible to update this information in their system. This would be a 2+ year conversion, costing thousands of dollars, and also saving teh company many thousands of dollar in teh long run. me was also asked to create a high level powerpoint presentation for upper management. Project was approved and two people were added to teh team.
  • Wrote conversion programs using COBOL/DB2. Created data MACROS for clean-up.
  • Added code to COBOL/DB2 programs to call MQ series to validate addresses.
