Responsibilities:
- Responsible for twenty-five testers from the client, fourteen in Toronto, eight in London, two in Singapore and one in Australia.
- These were added as required for some of the test phases, from the business work streams.
- The task of the project was to bring all of Confidential 's worldwide operations on the same SAP system to enable efficiencies, a common set of business standards and hence to enable the company to build a unified corporate culture and norms in all its worldwide business entities.
- The project implemented the SAP modules FS-RI, FS-CD, FI-GL and BP besides msg.LRM and msg.PM. The data files from the client’s customers were moved using ETL.
- There were staggered releases for Asia, North America and Europe, in that order. T
- he North America release was the major release with about seventy percent of the functionality in the project.
- This was the first implementation worldwide of msg.LRM that was challenging. The smooth implementation of this module was a major success though the testing, as expected for a first implementation, turned up a number of defects particularly in finance and actuarial.
- The move of the data files via ETL was also a challenge, given the multiple different agreements that the client had with their different customers and the code to handle the differently set up data and its processing, but again this was successfully overcome and tested.
- The test management and reporting in the project used SAP Solution Manager (Solman).

- The Pilot release brought in the customer base and their financial records into the FS-RI module. Led the functional, integration and UAT testing for this and also was involved with its release management. The pilot release took place from Jan 04 through Mar 04.
- For the global release (Phase I) of the project:
- Planned and led four rounds of functional testing, two rounds of integration testing and two rounds of UAT. UAT was conducted solely in Munich. Project was managed using HP QC.
- The three rounds of regression testing were conducted in both Princeton and Munich and had almost fifty percent automated (QTP) test cases.
- Carried out the planning and test artifacts of the testing for Phase II including lessons learnt during the earlier releases.
