Responsibilities:

Confidential is an implantable medical device manufacturer, and as a Quality Engineer my primary role is to provide support to manufacturing of the Mechanical Heart Valve at the Plymouth - CSH facility.
This support involved: updating processes, working with manufacturing to design test systems, test method validation, process validation, and nonconformance investigation.
Within this support my time is typically divided into 25% production floor support (i.e., problem solving with operators), 50% project oriented support, and the remaining 25% is nonconformance investigation.

Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Responsibilities:

He is a medical device manufacturer, and as a Sustaining Product Engineer my primary role was to support the Benchtop Centrifugation production line.
This support ranged from evaluation of non-conforming material to customer quality. In my role I have had to work in multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish projects ranging from cost reduction (material/component replacement) to containment redesign.
Each project starts with a basic understanding of the problem and develops into root cause analysis, feasibility testing of possible solution, design documentation for quality system, verification/validation testing, and finally reaching transfer from development into production.
