Responsibilities:
- Capable of creating 3D models of medium complexity components e.g. pistons, crankshaft, connecting rods
- Able to apply understanding of critical characteristics of components in creating 3D Models
- Able to design core engine peripherals e.g. accessory drive structure, pulleys, idlers etc
- Understanding of emission norm requirements and current technologies e.g. after treatment, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) etc
- Able to design moderate complexity components to support/enable engine peripherals and chassis connectivity e.g. engine mounts, flywheel adapters, fan shrouds etc
- Able to integrate the cooling and emission systems to the engine and design support structures and mounts for the engine accessories
- Able to perform system design, module selection (fans/radiators/charge air coolers/after-coolers etc), system optimization, interconnections, mounting, isolation design and related validations
- Hands on experience on Confidential schematics, fluid lines, Confidential Piping for designing the hose routings and tube routings
- Experience on packaging the engine cooling system components based on the surrounding geometry
- Able to design the bracket and mountings for the cooling system components
