Responsibilities:
- Developed a process for fabricating 193 waveplates to 0.01 wave retardation
- Generate Process instructions to shape, grind, polish and coat elements used in projection optics and illumination systems.
- Develop a cementing process and alignment procedure for a system which incorporated a cube - prism and a polarizing element. Trained assembly technicians in the uv curing process.

- Performed engineering support for the assembly of the projection optics to their respective cells
- Processed metrology data packs which were used to Recomp Projection optics

Responsibilities:
- Generated optical QC inspection instructions for various government programs. ie Boeing windows and General Dynamics windows as well as programs for Martin Marietta.
- Used a spectrophotometer to analyze transmission and reflectivity of optical elements
- I had a security clearance and worked with DCAS inspectors for final acceptance of optical elements
- Used statistical sampling to evaluate a lot.
- Performed cost estimates to support quotes to external customers.
- Familiar with optical mil specs for fabricating and coating.
- QA Engineer on the space telescope program. Supported the fabrication effort on the primary and secondary mirrors as well as alignment optics.
- Used Zygo interferometers to evaluate surface flatness and figure.
- Worked with 37 terms Zernicke for wavefront evaluation
