PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:

  • I have been an IT professional for the last 15 years. Most recently I have developed an automation framework using C# for testing a Windows web based application. This framework has been instrumental across other team projects with minimal changes required to use effectively. I am a CTFL Certified Software Quality Assurance Tester/Engineer. In the last nine years I have been involved in a variety of software testing projects in which I have transformed from a manual tester to an automation engineer. I have also held other positions within MIS including IT Analyst, Oracle Report Writer, and Application/Production Support. These positions gave me an excellent perspective of the software life cycle since I have 1. tested software, 2. automated tests, 3. released builds to production, 4. supported applications in production, 5. documented installation and troubleshooting steps and 6. trained others to do the same. Each position has sharpened my skills and increased my overall understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle from the development and testing phase to the deployment, production support and maintenance phases. I have worked in both Agile and non - Agile environments and currently work in an Agile environment.
  • At Confidential, my latest employer, I have developed an automation framework in C# using Ranorex Studio which has allowed the client, Confidential to leverage the framework against other projects. This framework uses Excel for data inputs and also creates logs and emails results of tests.
  • At Confidential, Inc., I led the evaluation and purchase of Ranorex Studio automation software. I also created automated suites for testing our various web-based applications, mobile applications and desktop applications. In addition I was a mentor for others on my team to learn and use this software to automate more products. I was chosen to be the lead in the automation efforts at this company. In addition, I also worked with TestComplete at this same company. TestComplete is also a test automation tool which I used to create, modify, execute tests against web-based applications.
  • My experience as a software tester has given me a deeper knowledge of the software development life cycle. I understand and am able to implement procedures and processes for accepting software, debugging it, performing a quality gate to ensure a good version of software is released into production.
  • Tasked with leading a 3-month long testing project involving three companies and various testers from those companies I was able to certify the software for production with all 150+ test cases tested and debugged on time.
  • I have experience performing various application/system tests such as unit, functional, integration, regression, white box, black box, gray box testing and performance testing. Many times in the past I have tested multiple ongoing projects with different test environments, test cycles and deployments.
  • Have developed in PowerShell, Visual Studio, Java, Javascript and HTML which has expanded my overall skill set and value to any organization. In addition I have developed in PERL and VBscript. My knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL*Plus has allowed me to query databases and read and write PL/SQL procedures.
  • My experience in application support has provided the ability to work in the fast paced world of production releases, troubleshooting production issues with minimum downtime and improving processes and procedures to ensure that problems do not occur again.
  • My excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral/written communication skills have only been sharpened with each position I’ve held and made me a valuable member of any organization. I am detail-oriented and have a great track record of delivering consistent and quality results regardless of it being software testing, developing, report writing or application support.
