For the past eight years - successfully employed by NDS (Purchased by Cisco in 2012) as the lead China Smart Card / STB QC test engineer. SCEI Testing Engineer

Responsibilities:

Hired by NDS to set up and create the QC test environment for all Chinese STB products. Scope included fully understanding Smart Card and STB technologies - and implement all of the tests on all STB’s designed in China, responsible for all the SCEI (smart card electronic interface) test of Set Top Box in Asia, such as China, India, and some other Asian countries..
Testing includes ~~ 200 specific parameters, including both automated and manual tests.
Scope includes analyses of the test results, understand and classify test failures, and the inherent full documentation.
Debug issues directly with vendors, perform analysis and assist with solutions.
As the China operation grew - responsibility to help hire and train the additional help.
Consistent on-line training of new technologies - to enable the updating of both testing environment as well as increased knowledge of the broader STB / SCEI picture
