  • Served as a QA testing consultant to an Electric and Natural Gas company using Agile methodology. This included:
  • Collaborating with other QA engineers to develop automation framework (in UFT/QTP, VBScript) for the company’s back-end customer care application. Because of my knowledge of the application under test, I created the base actions upon which the rest of the tests were built. Also using those base actions, I created a script that created data that testers used for System testing and SIT testing before data conversion occurred.

  • Tier 2 production support for network transport applications. Maintenance of the applications and servers was my primary responsibility; more specifically, Outage triage, disaster recovery, resolving problems in provisioning automation, database updates, and training new teammates.   • Duties involved test lead responsibilities (test planning, test designing, data preparation, managing testing effort, managing defects) as well as test execution.
  • The application I tested was used by our call centers to process as much a $40B in balance transfers per year, among other things.
  • I was a test lead for both small and large projects. The small projects were sometimes as small as a patch, and the largest project on which I was a test lead was the project to keep our application compliant with the Credit Card Act of 2009. For larger projects, 20 users from the call center would be brought in to execute tests as we managed the planning, execution, and defects in Quality Center.
  • Testing was both manual and automated. Before our team began using automation, I was one of two people on the team charged with learning and implementing QTP.
