Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for maintaining configuration standards, configuration changes, IP space utilization, and troubleshooting of issues for 60 Arris E6000s
- I am in an on call rotation where I am responsible for problem resolution for approximately 500 CMTSs.

- Participated as a subject matter expert in a 2 person team that replaced 96 DOCSIS 2.0 CMTS to 60 DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS in 3 months and provided support for the ensuing customer migrations over 2 months with minimal customer impact.
NOC Supervisor

Tier 4 NOC Specialist / TAC Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Supported daily operation by being a technical expert and providing troubleshooting/problem resolution for a regional ISP network servicing 800,000 residential and commercial data customers as well as 150,000 voice customers.
- Part of a 7 person on call rotation responsible for 24x7 regional MSO network servicing 800,000 residential and commercial data customers as well as 150,000 voice customers. Responsible for correcting all issues as escalated by the NOC in a timely manner as well as notifying and updating management on outage status.
- Responsible for end-to-end functionality and 99.999% uptime of all customer facing network devices, servers, and services. This includes DHCP, TFTP, DNS, RF HFC plant, Arris and Cisco CMTSs, Cisco routers and switches, optical transport, routing protocols, and STP.
- Provide support to 155 Arris and Cisco CMTSs in 18 different locations in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois by acting as a subject matter expert to the 18 different onsite technician teams and by troubleshooting and resolving any issues that occurred on the CMTSs.
- Provide support for over 200 customer traffic carrying Cisco switches and routers including 7600 series, 7200 series, 3750, 3500 series, 1950s. These devices are the distribution and core layers of the ISP network and carried customer IP traffic from the CMTS to Insight's links to Sprint and Qwest connections to the internet, SIP and MGCP messaging between customer MTAs and the Safari C3 voice switch, as well as all back office, provisioning, and DHCP traffic.
- Provide support for the TDM provisioning which allowed for the provisioning of customer's phones in DMS-500 TDM phone switches. This was a partial mesh frame-relay network between 12 locations. Responsible for troubleshooting all devices south of the demarc, appropriate escalations of frame-relay issues to the telco, and verifying/implementation problem resolution.
- Supported the DMS-500 TDM phone switches by the provisioning and decommissioning of TDM circuits across the Cisco 15454 OTN network. This network consisted of 44 Cisco 15454 that are interconnected with OC48s-OC192s. Circuit provisioning was done in Cisco Transport Controller.
- Provided limited support for the Cedarpoint Safari C3 class 5 voice switch and the Comverse voicemail platform. This includes basic troubleshooting and information gathering on the voice switch and voicemail platform.
- Wrote processes for various network alarms that were used by the NOC technician to perform basic triage after an alarm was presented to them. Led training and question/answer sessions to ensure that the NOC technicians understood the process as well as their responsibilities.
- Setup a lab environment for NOC technicians to use to help self study for certification. Also acted as a technical mentor and trainer for NOC technicians in areas they needed help with both Insight's network and certifications.
