Confidential, Clearwater, FL
Systems/Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Designed and developed Network Services Software for the A400M Airbus Aircraft.
- This DO178B Level B software performs a variety of in-flight and on-ground services that have to do with data loading and broadcast, built-in test, hardware monitoring, redundant fail over, fault logging, and network protocols.
- Wrote the Software Pin Programming, which reads compressed data loads, parses the data into either Confidential frames or Confidential INC 429 labels, and broadcasts the data to locations specified in the load.

Sr. Systems/Software Engineer / Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Designed, developed and tested under DO178B, the IGL and IData software applications. IGL is a language that mimics OpenGL, but runs without a graphics processor and is platform independent. This allows OpenGL programs to execute on embedded avionics devices without expensive graphics cards. IData is a graphical tool that is used to create user interfaces visually, which run on IGL in the target.
- Ported IGL software from Win32 and Confidential to a Confidential -I Deos embedded target, for the Goodrich Electronic Flight Bag System. Wrote kernel and bootstrap routines for the embedded Linux, used GNU tools to generate hardware specific utilities (grub.exe, Syslinux, etc), and developed network protocols and hardware specific low-level routines to transfer the frame buffer to screen memory, using a DisplayPort interface.
- Attended Trade shows to demonstrate the IData and IGL products and wrote proposals for prospective customers, which outlined how Q3D products would be implemented for their specific needs. Traveled to customer sites (Military and Avionics) to assist customers with systems and development needs, with regard to the IData and IGL products.
- Developed and maintained the requirements and associated test cases using Verotrace, for several of the IData Runtime products, which were all Level B applications that ran on all of the above operating systems. Wrote test scripts and test support software for system and low-level requirements testing, used LDRA and Bullseye for the structural coverage analysis, and created all required documentation for the DO-178 Cert Packages.
