  • Responsibilities included design and deployment of new servers, provision of level 3 technical support to technical user community at HQ in Rockville, MD and backup administration with Arcserve 6.x for HQ and external offices.
  • Worked with a team of system engineers to complete the corporate conversion to an Exchange 5.5/Outlook 98 messaging system from CC Mail 6.X and received a $3000 merit bonus after the success of the project.

  • Designed and deployed the first 32 bit, NT 4.0, network on Confidential ’s intranet.
  • This deployment included my design and purchase of a Confidential 1000A NT 4.0 PDC and a Lotus Notes 4.5.2 server.
  • This network grew from 20 to 120 clients at its zenith; during an 8 month 7 day work week period.
  • Specified and requisitioned 100+ Gateway PC’s and created NT 4.0 OS standards utilizing ghost images and deployed Norton Anti-virus as or standard viral solution.
  • Further, the completion of the 2 WAN segments: a 20-node LAN at Hughes Network Systems and a 10-node LAN at Confidential ’s Ashburn facility, which led to the success of the network rollout and a $5000 raise.
  • Last project for Confidential included the breakdown of major network components for relocation and closure of Confidential ’s Bethesda office. (Division relocated to North Carolina.)

  • Management of a 50 node Banyan Vines network for a federal systems re-seller.
  • Principle duties included the establishment of an Internet Confidential gateway, Confidential administration, implementation of remote computing server, migration planning to Windows NT 3.51 network, and deployment of Confidential ’s first NT 3.51 server.
  • Performed disaster recovery when the accounting server’s hard disk failed and required data restoration via multiple tape- backup restores and accounting system software re-installation during a 48-hr weekend crisis.
  • Designed and implemented the rollout of the Windows 95 workstation configuration. Team leader and primary network troubleshooter of server hardware and software problems.
