  • Upgrading the entire application to VB.NET & ASP.NET. Plans are currently being developed to make the application totally open source using technologies as MySql MaxDB, Java 1.4, Apache webserver, and Perl 5.8. Also implementing Apache Tomcat to serve the java applets. With this design the application can be web-based and run on almost any platform such as Windows, any version of Linux or UNIX.

This process included ORACLE PL/SQL, ORACLE stored procedures, and UNIX KORNSHELL script to execute the stored procedure so the extracted information could get migrated to the mainframe by using FTP.
  • Migrating UNIX crontab jobs over to AUTOSYS. Technologies used: UNIX, KORNSHELL, EXCEED, AUTOSYS, CRONTAB, CA7.
