  • The controller is the central controller. It is a servlet. A single servlet called the ControllerServlet controls the flow of actions between the view and the model. All requests from the user are sent to the ControllerServlet, which analyses the request and decides what action to be taken next.
  • The model consists of action classes. Action classes have code pertainig to the steps that has to be taken for the users action. The ControllerServlet transfers control to one of these action classes once it analyses the user action.
  • The data is stored in an Oracle database. A DataAccessLayer is developed to access the data in the database. The DataAccessLayer consisted of classes representing each table in the database. Each class consisted of functions to select, insert, update and delete data in the tables.
