Responsibilities:

  • Act as a consult and lead to team for all support issues and projects in a VMware Confidential 5.5 environment with 800+ hosts and 47,000+ virtual machines. This can stem from low-mid level guidance (problem solving, host configuration errors, network connectivity/slowness, storage latency, guest end user experience issues, process documentation) to high level items and troubleshooting (assistance in creating change records, business justification and impact analysis, managing risk of implementing changes or break/fix problem tickets, virtual machine corruption issues and recovery, and all things storage related). I take ownership and work high level complex problems that require support and coordination from multiple vendors.
  • Primary liaison for all incoming server farm projects from a virtualization team perspective. End to end project tracking and support for each new farm to ensure timeliness of delivery into production.
