Senior Performance Consultant Resume
SUMMARY:
I have had the opportunity in my career to become intimately familiar with electronics, telecommunications, computer systems, and networking. My years of experience has been in engineering related communications, information systems administration, organization and management of data, telecommunications, software designing, writing and troubleshooting system analysis, and both packet based & ATM networking with more than ten years of specialized experience as an educator and developer of system maintenance and training.
Lead for Telecommunications: My forty years of military service and follow on experience as a field and network engineer for multiple government contractors has brought me vast amounts of background experience to support, maintain, & troubleshoot Navy, Air Force and other government network, telecommunication and radar systems. I have the unique capability of looking at a system as a whole and troubleshooting it down to its lowest replaceable unit, even to component level if necessary. Tasking has been presented to me for new systems, to learn and know it well enough for installation, troubleshooting, writing course curriculum, and presenting the material to a classroom. There has been a total of nine years supervising up to 15 people.
Proven Record - Across Multiple IT Systems and Equipment: I have experience with ATM & Packet Based networking, VLF through SHF RF analog and digital communications, troubleshooting under pressure to successfully meet a timeline. The background that I have on older systems helps me to adapt easily to newer systems presently in use. I have twenty-five years of experience in the IT field from surveying, building, operating and maintaining wired and wireless networks, SAN & data backup, software creation and troubleshooting programming language code. Tasked with training three carriers and four Navy shore facilities on the end-to-end ATM networking operation using Lucent’s PSAX switch, I coordinated the first ever ATM communication AOR turnover with the USS Theodore Roosevelt from the Atlantic to the Pacific AOR to set the record for the fastest transition ever completed. While with JPI, I successfully installed multiple VSAT and wireless systems troubleshooting and maintaining these systems with some of the most challenging environmental conditions. With Confidential, I successfully completed the expansion of FOB Shindand for Dyn Corp for the growth of its VSAT, network and wireless connectivity with full help desk support. Many challenging issues were solved during installation and maintenance and when we went to a corporate worldwide network. I was qualified as a Senior Missile Technician and Missile Launch Crewmember on nuclear air-to-ground and ICBM missile electronics. Trained in Air Force electronic theory and mathematics, and Navy electronic component level troubleshooting, repair and replacement, it has given me the ability to understand electronics at an engineering level from a systems standpoint. Having always referred myself as a “systems” engineer, I know and understanding the entire communications path and can easily narrow it down to the source of any problem.
International Experience: I have traveled quite extensively during my career. The majority of my overseas travel has required that I work alone and it has taken me from the Republic of Georgia, Italy to Hawaii, Greenland, Afghanistan, Kuwait and many places in the United States. With Raytheon I spent a year at the UEWR site in Thule, Greenland and assisted all Raytheon users with any computer or networking problems. While working for JPI and Confidential in Afghanistan, I was installing and maintaining VSAT, wireless and ISP, and supporting systems for Dyn Corp, Lockheed Martin, Joint Robotics, and the Rapid Equipping Force including the military to have personal wireless. While supporting Riverbed, I traveled to Kuwait to support GEMS (Global Enterprise Modeling & Simulation) collecting and modeling the Army network.

Senior Performance Consultant
As a subcontractor to Riverbed, I installed, operated, maintained and gave introductory training on the Global Enterprise Modeling & Simulation (GEMS) applications for the US Army Conus and OCONUS utilizing VMWare configuring and setting it up on the virtual servers.
Modeled the Army’s Enterprise Network so the engineers could proactively troubleshoot to discover issues before they became serious. Identified devices that had high packet loss, CPU activity, RAM, and Bandwidth to maintain the health of the network.
Identified devices that didn’t meet STIG and multiple other requirements. Discovered rogue devices and tracked them down to their port connection. Identified daily any changes to devices while the software kept a history of all changes.
Worked with the RNEC/LNECs and senior Army leadership from the brigade level down briefing results of the applications, providing introductory training and seeking what they would like to see displayed so they can quickly resolve any issue.
