- As lead Network/Systems Engineer I was responsible for designing, planning and maintaining all aspects of IT infrastructure to support 20+ pharmacies, 1000+ employees operating 24/7/365.
- Designed, planned and implemented move of core services to a colocation facility located in Northern NJ. Stood up new infrastructure (Meraki MS425 Stack, MX250 HA Pair, 15 Vmware Hypervisors) in colocation with multiple Confidential circuits back to corporate office.
- Design, Planned and Implemented IT infrastructure to support rollouts of 10 new pharmacies and retrofitted 10 existing pharmacies to conform to new company standards to provide maximum uptime and low latency.
- Planned and implemented migration from legacy PBX to a hosted VOIP with Fuze. Stood up new phone system in parallel with legacy phone system for seamless and uninterrupted migration. Worked with Fuze engineers to capture and display real time call metrics which helped improve customer hold time and customer satisfaction.
- Migrated company infrastructure to Cisco Meraki (Switching, Firewalls and WAPs) to reduce management burden, sustained features (continual updates), cloud-management and anywhere anytime access.
- Implemented WorkSpot (VDI Platform) for remote connectivity replacing SonicWall VPN. WorkSpot was also used to decrease the number of windows clients in the production environment by moving to Dell Thin Clients and leveraging terminal servers.
- Worked with MSP to migrate email infrastructure to Office365. 1000 + user accounts were migrated to Office365 while also implementing cloud services for signatures “Exclaimer” and email encryption “Zix”.
- Installed and configured two Palo Alto 3020 firewalls in Virtual Wire Mode. Deploying in virtual wire mode allowed for a simpler firewall installation with minimum downtime in our 24/7/365 environment. Once installed we were able to apply policy and use features like URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, and WildFire.
- Planned and implemented migration from Hyper-V environment to VMware. Provisioned/Configured 10 hypervisors with multiple clusters, distributed switching, Upgrade Tiered Storage to Tintri (All Flash SANs) for SQL workloads and VDI infrastructure. Upgraded VM/Storage switching infrastructure to 10gig switches Dell Force 10’s (S4810’s).

- Planned and implemented migration from costly Managed MPLS service to fully meshed Site-2-Site VPN solution using Meraki MX series routers. Five sites in total were migrated off of the MPLS service saving the company 300K over 5 years. Each site was equipped with multiple ISPs and two Meraki MX series devices for HA.
- Planned and implemented a migration from a flat class C network to a scalable and efficient segmented network across all sites.
