Responsibilities:
- Company is an out source for various organizations that may need assistance with helping users to use their work applications and connecting to the internet. Other responsibilities include and not limited to helping set up network communications and monitor them for security breach or going down.
- This job number one priority was good service which I believe and received many awards for customer during my time there. Good customer services answer question you don't need to ask. On the support desk, Responsible of working with user that had problems getting email, accessing email accounts of other users or just adding the email accounts to their outlook profiles. Working with office applications and active directory, we were able to due various mail migration that deal with exchange servers 2010 and 2013. In the active directory we could reset password, unlock accounts, create accounts, get access to the user's mailbox, prep up for the migration of mail. We could find a user's account, edited his mailbox rights, and add our account that we log on with to make further adjustments. Troubleshoot accounts, manage them day by day to make sure it was completed for the user. User may have request access for certain particular folders, drives or paths that required me to escalate it up. Responsible following user up to make sure every thing is resolve and no further problems exist.
- Responsible of working with the exchange server 2010 and 2013, getting familiar DNS, know the name structure, if necessary create a name, keep it simple to describe what the name was referring. Using my skills of knowing the protocols 53 for DNS and what level they play in the osi model was very helpful. My experience was only 3 months before the company moved its service to a different country. We communicate with out clients like GE and PSEG by using Microsoft Lync or Skype. One contract I worked on was with the use of chat. This was a very high pressure account. Knowing how the DHCP worked for issue an ip address, how a computer talks to another in requesting mac address that is tied to the IP address, pop3 mail on a forward server, simple mail transfer protocol 25, imap for mail on a remote server, exchange active sync protocol, all of these were just a few things we worked with.
- The Microsoft Exchange Auto discover service was my friend when I was lost in helping users of Outlook 2016 for Mac and Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later to configure their Exchange accounts. Additional responsibility included helping using to connect to service of Windows 2012 R2 alone with working with operating systems Windows 2008, Windows 2007, using the remote desktop in each scenario. Must be familiar with different TCP protocol and UDP protocol ports and how they function in any network environment.
