- On Several Azure projects, clients who are uneasy or new to cloud will typically look to the IAAS Azure which allows us to install all items for them and give them the Azure suite offered by IAAS -provisioning of machines, security, maintaining storage and running multiple OS/Linux systems while backing up the systems and ensuring a robust system
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Services is part of the purchase process for Microsoft Consulting. After the analysis is complete and the SOW is done, I would come and provide items such as Identity Management, Work though and document DR scenarios if non-existent, (typically since it is a new deployment), provide cross training and test lab configurations for the customer to sandbox failures and work on fixes. .
- Larger corporations with Dev Teams look to have PAAS Setups. As a Consultant, I would deploy the infrastructure for them and based on any SOW, either assist with supporting the Dev process of deploying new applications and assisting with the testing.
- Azure SAAS has not been something that I have needed to install in the past as it is mostly for the company that wishes to have a portal of some kind that can be used to accomplish a goal. This typically would go side-by-side with PAAS and IAAS.
- When cloud deployments using the PAAS setup were complete, the developers were able to use the microservices, Kubernetes, and APIs to analyze what needs to go into Cloud. I Deployed the infrastructure while working closely with the Dev OPS team on supporting them while applications were created during my time onsite for the project.
- One item that was used to help control network traffic in both Azure and O365 were virtual networks. Letting the userbase use the MESH network, and creating the backbone (virtual network), allows velocity pushing of data and allows the best to capture information from Sentinel or SPLUNK for Security captures and auditing.
- Positions with Microsoft required Staff to learn new technologies in order to provide service. This is a consider a ‘RAMP’ and allows staff to solidify the knowledge they had that was not used frequently. Build on Experience: Deep Active Directory and Windows Credential Management experience along with, mitigating Credential Theft threats
- Based on RAMP - Further items that have come during projects at one time or another related to both O365 and Azure, have been Site Configurations, Azure Networks (this also allowed me to work closely with the deep SMEs on network differences that I may have questions on), Azure Network Security Groups,
- Build & In corporate my Experience: TCP/IP, Windows networks, network devices, malware and/or anti threat, have worked on vulnerabilities and exploits
