Responsibilities:

Work with account managers to design reports, update, test and install COBOL DB2/SQL programs, JCL, PROCS, and copybooks.
Work with new customers to create reformat programs for incoming history data files. Maintain history reformat, load and claim update programs and documentation.
Set up and run claim update programs to correct issues with claims. Work to improve program performance.
Maintain control cards to maintain customer HIPPA checking.
When on call, trouble shoot downed jobs and get them corrected in a reasonable time.
Peer review outgoing files for HIPPA verification, JCL, PROCS, copybooks, control cards, programs before migration. Work with File manager File Manger DB2, Endevor.

Power Select night monitor

Responsibilities:

Track jobs that move information from the mainframe to the Unix systems and then rename and load the files to DB2 databases. Troubleshoot downed jobs. Track long running jobs to determine if they will finish on time. Run ad hoc processes that the Power Select team needs run.
Work to resolve customer Power Select issues. Contact Open Systems Group or Power Select team for help when needed. Fill out Magic tickets for all downed jobs.
Send out a morning report detailing events of the past 8 hours. Work with Operations and Level 1 employees to monitor and maintain Power Select processing. Unix, JCL, DB2, Magic, Lotus Notes, Data Stage, Microsoft Office.
