  • The single screen displayed around 15 pages of questions, stored the responses and could be restarted if the patient had to stop the question session.
  • It also had the ability to page backward/forward to see what a previous response had been and to look at the patients details if needed.
  • The requests for and results of the questionaire were recieved from/sent to another system which was run by United Bio-Source in NJ.

  • Currently the General Ledger activity exists in the Synon database, JDEdwards, Fene-Vision and other solutions, it is being moved into a product called XA (Infor ERP), that is currently being used by Confidential Automotive division and there seems to be adjustments needed to both Confidential & XA systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the three systems currently being run by Pharmaceutical Retail giant Confidential, to see if they can combine the platforms into a single system, and if so which system. Research the points of contact between the RxClaims system on the AS400 and the other adjudication engines, evaluate differences between systems and perform gap analysis.
  • The second phase of the project:- to migrate business from the 2 mainframe machines to the chosen (Rx-Claim) system.
  • Was responsible for interviewing US based candidates for positions on the project, from Developers, to infrastructure architects.
  • Designed from scratch the migration tool for the AS400 loading of data, from the Data Base changes, to the driver function that picked up raw data from a flat file, and called individual modules to process the updates.
  • This process touched most of Rx-Claim files, and incorporated validation from the Synon screens/functions, to ensure that all data updates were as well vetted as they would be if entered through the normal screen flow.

  • While creating the interfaces, there were several areas that had to be brought onto the AS400, as they were previously held only in spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Built interface programs, recreated reports using InfoPrint for overlays, and Coolspools to convert the spool file into .pdf and .xls formats.
  • Wrote conversion programs to add new products, and download functions to bring in data from other systems.
  • Also created a new system for Export Compliance to check addresses for suspected terrorist organizations, and stop shipping if a suspect address was found.
