- Received a request for product qualification (RPQ) that comes in from the field or sometimes the request will come from VPLEX development, Quality Engineers or Level 3 Engineers for something that s out of the scope of the current development cycle.
- Analyzed RPQ, do research and determine whether request is close enough to something already support, that don t need to be tested to approve it.
- Created test plan, this includes configuration information from RPQ and test cases from library of test cases written by Quality Engineers
- Created a review ticket to get test plan review and approve by Developers, Quality Engineers, and Level 3 Engineers
- Created a test set in the Test Lab section of Quality center. Where test cases execution is tracked and step is marked as pass and fail
- Set up and executed test cases in test plan to verify the arrays and VPLEX behave as expected
- Effectively solve problems and debug test and equipment issues during setup
- When testing is completed, a test report is generated. Take the test plan and add the test case results, any defects found, any limitations, and caveats.
- As with the plan, the report is reviewed by Developers, Quality Engineers, and Level 3 Engineers before send out to customers and sale teams
