  • I architected and implemented the in-house RESTful web services, their data structures and relationships for the RDMBS that connect theses apps to the cloud using JSON and XML.
  • The web service uses PostgreSQL as its backend and the technology behind the web service is Python using the Flask framework running on the Linux Ubuntu server using Apache and Nginx.
  • The native iOS app is using the CoreData framework for persisting data locally on the device. On the web service side the data is persisted using PostgreSQL.
  • I developed Run Man Run on iTunes App Store from concept to deliverable. A native iOS app that lets you record on the go and design your own routes for running, biking, hiking, or any outdoor activity. It keeps track of your stats, which can be shared with your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter in addition to text message and email. The app heavily uses the CoreLocation framework for recording movement and location based alerts. A RESTful web service interface allows the app to connect to an in-house python/flask based web service using JSON to enhance the functionality and value of the app.
  • Another app developed by me from concept to deliverable is a user-friendly Personal Health Record native iOS app in review, awaiting approval from Apple . The app used CoreData, CoreText, CoreLocation, and CoreAnimation iOS frameworks among others. The app connects to the in-house python/flask based RESTful web service JSON is being used for request/response payload for portability and multiple device information sharing. Core Data is used for persisting information locally. The app also uses the iOS networking framework to connect to 3rd party web services RxNorm, etc. in order to provide information to the user.

  • I developed an RSS/Atom feed reader web app. The web app's backend was built using Django with MySQL. The front-end is using JQuery and HTML5 to create a responsive web app that worked seamlessly on all desktop and mobile platforms.

  • The site was migrated from an archaic CMS to WordPress publishing system.   • Developed a system for managing contracts and generating quotes that greatly reduced the time of request-to-quote process from 2 hours per quote to just few seconds per quote. I used Python to extract and transform data from PDF, Word, and Microsoft Excel files into structured data files that were importing into the Microsoft Access backend.
  • Developed a central repository for keeping historic information and current information on vendors and their services. Developed using Flask, JSON, and HTML5 with the backend using MySQL server.
  • Extensively enhanced and added key functionality to an in-house Microsoft Access based application that was used by primarily by Disney. The enhancements included transparent software and data updates for the app, in addition to providing a great user experience.
  • Developed customized, fully functional, flexible, and agile FTP client, in VB6. It was not just an FTP client, a misnomer, but it did start out as one. Over time this small utility became the workhorse for the company as it was expanded to include functionality for rule based processing of data files that were being downloaded and uploaded from various FTP/SFTP servers. The utility also included the ability to encrypt and decrypt PGP/GPG files per file/customer basis.
